For 20 years, The JEROME LEJEUNE FOUNDATION and INSTITUTE have been developping and supporting many research programs that aim at finding a treatment for Down Syndrome and other genetic intellectual disabilities. Furthermore, counting about 7500 patients, the Jérôme Lejeune Institute is the first european center dedicated to providing medical care to patients living with intellectual disabilities throughout their entire lives.
The Foundation and the Jérôme Lejeune Institue will be celebrating this anniversary on Wednesday 3rd June with about 40 world-renowned researchers, specialized in intelectual disabilities. On the agenda:
- Visit of the consultation and research(biobanque) centers ;
- Review of 20 years of activity and presentation of future perspectives ;
- Presentation of the 1st therapeutic tests.
