Call for projects with a view to support research.
Twice a year, the scientific counsel of Foundation Jérôme Lejeune launches a call for projects.
The idea is to select and support the most pertinent research work on intellectual deficiencies of genetic origin based on their therapeutic objective.
The next call, for which the application files of the various research teams are expected from mid-January to mid-March, will put the accent on projects aiming at a better understanding of the mechanism of cerebral ageing in relation to Down’s syndrome.
Thanks to its donators, the foundation supports dozens of research projects every year in France and abroad with an average contribution of 20 000 euros per project.
Scientific publications showing research progress in this area show that the world’s most interesting projects have nearly always benefited from the Foundation’s financial and/or scientific support.
