Video: Presentation of Keenan Kampa, Godmother of the 20th anniversary of the Jérôme Lejeune Foundation

Published on 06/16/2014 in Testimonials

Keenan Kampa, American, is a dancer at the prestigious Mariinsky ballet of St Petersbourg. She is 24 and has a passion: people with Down Syndrome. Since she was a little girl, she has always felt a particular attraction for these children who have an extra chromosome. From the very beginning of her career in the United States, she decided to give them some of her time thanks to an American organization. She worked very hard to achieve excellence as demanded by the most prestigious ballets and dedicated a lot of her free time to disabled people. She discovered their progress even though they were handicapped.

Since her career has taken her to Russia, she hasn’t managed to find any time for them. By doing research on Down Syndrome and on people with Down Syndrome, she discovered Jérôme Lejeune and the Foundation that carries his name. Since she decided to put herself at the service of the Foundation, she has become the Godmother of the 20th anniversary of Jérôme Lejeune’s death and of the creation of the Foundation.

We followed her steps when she first came to Paris in December 2013 and made a presentation documentary.
