Education and training

The role of the Education and Training department is to listen, advise, help and act in the process of coordinating and responding to questions, expectations and other needs.

    • of families: child with disabilities, parents, siblings, grandparents, etc.

    • educational staff: educators, school principals, heads of medico-education institutes, State work centres, teachers, teacher’s aides, volunteers helping with school activities and support

    • association members: parents of children with intellectual disabilities or with respect to persons with intellectual disabilities

    • business managers: whether or not employing persons with intellectual disabilities


According to demand, the responses will be provided through:

      • Individual instruction (by appointment): families, teachers, school aides, volunteer teachers from associations, etc.

      • Training and teaching assistance:“Wednesdays at the Foundation” and the “Parent’s Guide”

      • Development and coordination of projects: help in creating specialised classes

      • Ongoing financial aid with “Objectif Education”; “Educ’Action”; “EuropAffiche” contest

The Education and Training department has two goals:

      • Help the person with a intellectual disability to be aware of his potential, to develop it and to use it.
      • Accompany the family, teachers and educators in a process that will allow each person with an intellectual disability to outdo themselves.
