Mrs Lejeune’s note

Dear friends,

It is with much emotion that I see the end of this year approaching; year in which we celebrated the 20th anniversary of Jérôme Lejeune’s death.

How many of you have come up to us to kindly remind us that we have your support!

Starting with a beautiful mass in Notre Dame de Paris on April 5th, so many things happened during the course of the year that it would be difficult to speak of them all! I shall therefore go over the highlights of the year with, first of all, our encounter with Keenan Kampa, our ambassador for this year…

What a joy to see this brilliant young woman in full light, defending the life of our young patients without counting her time or courage. There was also many conferences, the publishing of a book containing unpublished writings from Jérôme Lejeune, and, of course, the tour of the “Jérôme Lejeune, a discovery for life” exhibition and its inauguration in Arras in June.

All these happy events gave us the opportunity to get together, go over everything we have done until now, and regain strength for what is still to come.

There is still a long way to go but it is your unwavering support that enables us to progress. Therefore, I want to thank you all very much for the wonderful year we have just spent celebrating this 20th anniversary and… see you in 20 years!
