The note of Madam Jérôme Lejeune, vice-president of the Jérôme Lejeune Foundation.

Dear friends,

People often ask me how, at 87 years old, I manage to attend so many happy events, such as the exhibition in Laval and Lyon or the two exceptional days at the European Parliament in Strasbourg.

My answer is clear.

It is thank to all of you, friends, who by you unwavering support give me strength and confidence.

The Foundation has overcome many obstacles and carries on fighting to develop the work of Jérôme Lejeune and defend the patients. However, even with the best of intentions and all the energy in the world, none of this would be possible without all of your precious help. Beyond figures, it is important to underline to what extent your help brings, first of all, a lot of hope to families and their children.

Your words, your marks of friendship and your continuous presence by our side for the last 20 years always helps me keep in mind that medical research is, first of all, carried by people who have all had this mad hope of making progress, and do everything they can to help our dear patients. The two days in Strasbourg prove that great progress has already been made.

There is still a long way to go but driving down the road in such good company, yours, how lovely! Thank you!
